Green Synthesis of Cobalt Ferrite Nanoparticles: An Emerging Material for Environmental and Biomedical Applications

Research and utilization of nanotechnology are growing exponentially in every aspect life. The constant growth applications for magnetic nanoparticles, specifically nanoferrites, attracted many researchers. Among them, nanocobalt ferrite is the most crucial studied nanoparticle. Environmentally benign synthetic methods became necessary to minimize environmental occupational hazards. Green synthesis approaches science technology now widely applied nanomaterials. Herein, we reviewed recent advances synthesizing ferrites their composites using various scientific search engines. Subsequently, were discussed, such as (treatment water/wastewater, photocatalytic degradation dyes, nanosorbent remediation) biomedical (nanobiosensors cancer diagnosis at primary stage, effective targeted drug delivery, resonance imaging, hyperthermia, potential candidates against microbial infections). This review offers comprehensive knowledge on how choose appropriate natural resources green benefits this approach compared conventional methods.
